Joining an Intercom
So you just received an invitation and wonder what's next ?
An Intercom regroups users (generally from the same building or the same company) behind a QR Code. Anyone that scans this QR Code can access the list of users and by simply selecting a name, start a one way video call with the Intercom User.
One way video call means that the visitors share their front phone camera with you during the call, but you as an Intercom user doesn't share your camera so they dont see you but you can see them.
Installing the app
If you haven't already, go ahead and install the app on your device.
Once done use the email where you receive the invitation to sign-up
If you dont sign-up with the same email as the one you received the invitation from, the invitation will not be visible and you wont be able to join.
Accept the invitation and change your alias
Once you accepted the invitation, you can select the Intercom and access the Aliases tab.
There you will find a default alias we created for you based on your choosen user name. Alias are the names that appear when someone scans the QR Code. Feel free to edit the alias to reflect your preference.
You are all set!
You are now visible on the Intercom and can receive calls.
